Affordable Beauty

Not all great things are greatly expensive.

In the past I may have fallen for brand name products – the packaging is always just so darn cute – but my skin (and my wallet)  have chosen otherwise. Below I have gathered a collection of my favorite reliable drugstore goodies.

I have tried almost every makeup designer’s mascara, but, my favorite is still Maybelline Volum’Express One by One Mascara ($7.99). As for nail polish? Nothing beats Essie ($8.00). For chap-stick, Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm ($2.99) is the winner by a long shot with its minty cool finish. I combat my oily skin with Cethaphil Daily Facial Cleanser ($10.49). For a flare at the office or a fancy night out on the town make sure to wear a swipe of L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Lip Colour in Everlasting Plum ($9.99). And at the end of the night do not fall asleep without putting some magic, aka Aquaphor Healing Skin Ointment, on your tired lips ($5.79).
