This week, in particular, has been keeping awake until the wee hours of the morning. For example, last night I found myself in the midst of a mess of maps of greater Europe I had strewn across my bedroom floor attempting to “organize” my very rough-draft itinerary for my trip to travel the world this fall. At 1Am I reached the Dalmatian Coast and decided to call it quits… at least for a few days. Meanwhile, graduation has been a constant loom in the background of every one of my remaining days here in Colorado. In all honesty I have no idea where I will be six months from now. Hopefully hiking Tuscany terrain or maybe falling in love in Paris. Though, the reality of the uncertainly both excites and terrifies me. Until then, I will focus on the present. That is, instead of missing the boy I loved and lost, I will listen to live jazz in a cafe late at night. Or, I will go to a yoga class and introduce myself to the teacher. Today I took pictures of everything I found beautiful.

This flower vased by the four-year-old I babysit. It seemed to be the only color in all the snow.

This secret garden.

Construction paper for Valentine's.

Even the traffic was worth photographing today.

“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape – the lonliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show.” – Andrew Wyeth

Aspen, Colorado. You are beautiful.
