This morning marked the commencement of my 10k training. Just last night I registered for the bolderBOULDER, a race on May 30th that tours the hilly landscape of my college town. Their online site provides training tips, practice courses, and advice from professional athletes. I am hoping the weather isn’t scorching hot on the day of the run…

In celebration of the holiday a group of my girlfriends and I dressed up (despite the snowy weather) and went out for an Easter Day brunch. We picked one of my most favorite spots to dine in Boulder. The Kitchen is home to organic ingredients locally sourced and outrageously delicious. While there I just happened to secure a reservation for graduation weekend!

I’ve recently re-discovered poetry. Currently my favorite author is Billy Collins. Chock-full of charm, whit, and truth, he spills words into lyrics, constantly challenging me to come up with a line just as clever as he. Collins’ language is simple (and so, accessible to all readers) as he engages with the reader, as if encouraging his audience to write magic, too.

The Giants are in Denver! Unfortunately we ended the three-game series with a major loss today. However, the game that I happened to attend was a victorious win. Again, I dressed in all my orange and black gear, greeted fans of any which team with a big ‘i love baseball season’ smile, and provided streaming updates of the game to friends and family back in San Francisco (via smartphone).
